Integrity Before Equity

08 Mar Integrity Before Equity

Good afternoon from Premier Pixels Las Vegas web design team. On the way to the office this morning it dawned on me-where would we be if every entrepreneur placed integrity above everything else? After all, the goal of every company and business is to build long term value; isn’t it? When you start a business, the odds are already stacked against you. Ask any successful business person who’s withstood the test of time how much stock they put in the integrity of their company and your bound to hear the same answer over and over-integrity is everything. Whether it be customer service, delivery, follow through, quality or even how you treat your employees-it all starts and ends with putting integrity first.

Ninety five percent of all businesses fail in the first three years. Could there be a direct correlation between those who compromise integrity for the sake of equity and the businesses who fail?  Absolutely.

Heres another way to look at it-every time your integrity (reputation) takes a hit, the brand of your company suffers. Your brand is the personality and identity you reflect in the marketplace. It represents what you stand for and how you’re perceived. We’ve all heard the expression bad news travels ten times faster than good news. It’s no different with business. Show me a company that doesn’t conduct themselves with a strong sense of integrity and I will show you a business that’s at the beginning of the end. Our Las Vegas web design company was founded on putting values before everything we do. I know, I know, it sounds corny and cliche but when taken lightly it has the power to erode your business from the inside out.

Every client you land is suppose to build equity in the value of your company. Think of each client as a share (stock) in your company. Now when that client is taken through the purchasing experience with superior customer service, your stock rises. They are now an asset towards building equity in your business (repeat customer, referrals and free advertising). When a client isn’t handled properly and they express dissatisfaction (note to self: some will never be pleased regardless of what you do) and you don’t go out of your way to make things right; that stock depreciates and has now become a liability.  But, when integrity is placed above all else, it reflects throughout your entire organization. Shares are sure to increase day in and month out until the cumulative effect takes on a life of it’s own. The exact opposite effect can be said when you put integrity before equity- it will bring your company to it’s knees.

Premier Pixels Las Vegas web design team has seen prime examples from both sides of the spectrum as I’m sure all of you have. There is much to learn from both examples on what to do as opposed to what not to do. Of course, the path less traveled is always more challenging but the end result is much more rewarding. It’s the difference between building a business and building a brand. BUSINESSES FAIL; BRANDS ARE FOREVER. Thanks and have a great day!
